What is Tuning Fork Vibration Therapy?

When a tuning fork is struck and placed on or near the body, it produces a precise, sustained vibration. In this modality, that vibration is thought to:

Travel through tissue, fluid, and bone — the body is largely water, which is an excellent conductor of vibration, so the sound is felt as much as heard

Interact with the biofield — the subtle energy field said to surround and interpenetrate the body (a concept central to many holistic and energy-medicine traditions, including Traditional Chinese Medicine's qi and Ayurveda's prana)

Encourage entrainment — a principle where one vibrating object gradually causes another to synchronise with it. The theory is that a coherent, steady tuning fork frequency invites the body's own less-coherent rhythms (nervous system, breath, even brainwaves) to shift toward that same steadiness

Release areas of tension or blockage — practitioners often describe using forks along energy centres (like the chakras) or acupressure points to support flow and realignment

Tuning Fork Vibration Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive treatment designed to support your nervous system and promote a sense of calm and inner balance. It’s especially suited for those experiencing stress or anxiety, anyone curious about holistic or energy-based therapies, or individuals simply seeking a deeply relaxing experience.

Who might benefit most?

  • People experiencing high stress or anxiety
  • People who have PTSD
  • Couples and individuals wanting to conceive
  • Individuals seeking non-invasive mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical therap
Results can vary between individuals. It should not replace medical care for serious conditions. Always consult a qualified practitioner.

What to expect

I suggest to book an

Introduction Session (1.5hrs) for your first session

as this will allow time for us to discuss any issues or concerns you would like to focus on before having the Tuning Fork Session. I will also recommend and explain the different protocols that can benefit you.

This may include a series of sessions to get the desired results however some clients like to book sessions when they have the calling to.

  • Sessions can be performed on the comfortable recliner or seated on the floor or lying on a massage table. Wherever you feel the most relaxed.

  • Avoid wearing denim or clothes made of heavy material as it limits the vibrations to your body.

  • Satin eye masks are available to wear throughout your session. This can bring a deeper relaxation into your session by having your eyes covered.

Your practitioner may suggest using crystals to enhance the frequencies.

*Please let the Practitioner know if you DO NOT wish to have crystals as part of your session.

Aromatherapy oils are used to help you achieve deep relaxation.

*Please let the Practitioner know if you DO NOT want essential oils in your session.

With this information in mind, your session will be centred entirely around you.
